Core Team

What is the Youth Ministry Core Team? The Youth Ministry Core Team a group of high-school youth who commit to being servant-leaders in youth ministry. The vision of Core Team is “teens leading other teens to Christ”. Modeled after the Apostles in Acts 2:45, Core Team commits to leadership, community, prayer, sacraments, and teaching. The commitment to Core Team includes attending the Core Team day retreat, monthly Core Team meetings, and Fyshbowl events.

If you are a high-schooler who is interested in joining Core Team, you are invited to pray with the Scripture verse, Matthew 28:18-20: “Then Jesus approached and said to them, ‘All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.’” These are the words that Jesus used to commission His disciples. Members of Core Team should be willing to give talks, share testimonies, lead prayer, and facilitate and participate in games. Ask the Lord if He is calling you to serve in this way. When you are ready to apply, please fill out the Core Team Application and return to the youth ministry office by Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Save the date: The Core Team Retreat will be held on August 2nd, 2024. All Core Team members are required to attend. Register here!
