Ministry Showcase Weekends October 28/29 & November 4/5
In the Fall Season it’s time to ‘TURN UP THE FLAME’. In the Fall many of us ‘turn up the flame’ of our furnaces as the days get shorter and the night’s longer and colder. The Fall is also the time our Church asks us to ‘turn up the flame’ of our discipleship by reminding us of our obligation to ‘steward’ the many gifts and blessings God has
bestowed on us in our lives.
Stewardship as a way of life is the active branch of our discipleship. As Catholic disciples of Jesus Christ we are asked to recognize and receive the ‘gifts’ God has given us and return them to God with increase. We are asked to share our gifts of Prayer: The ‘time’ we share with God in liturgical worship and prayer Participation: Using our God given natural skills and talents to participate in the various ministries available here at St Henry’s AND Generosity: Financial giving of the ‘first fruits of our labor’ according to our means to sustain and grow the mission and ministries of the Church of St Henry Parish.
Please make plans now to attend the Turn up the Flame Ministry Showcase on October 28-29 and November 4-5. You are invited to learn more about the various ministries available to you at The Church of St Henry. Displays will be set up in the gathering space after Mass on these two weekends listed above. Take time to prayerfully discern if you are being called to use your natural skills and talents to serve in a new ministry and let your light shine a little brighter. Your flame will always burn brightest when you are actively pursuing your ministry and pouring your life into others.
Stewardship Weekend on November 11th and 12th!
On this weekend we will all be asked to ‘bring up our gifts’ to the altar as we turn in our Time and Talent forms AND make our pledge of annual financial support for the
Parish!
