Vocations & Discernment

"God has created you to know and love Him in a totally unique way and has given you a mission that only you can fulfill. You will never regret taking time to discover the gift of your vocation." - "A Season of Discernment", Handmaids of the Heart of Jesus

"For I know well the plans I have in mind for you—oracle of the LORD—plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope." -Jeremiah 29:11

If you would like to talk with someone about vocations and discernment, Fr. Tony, Sr. Carrie, or Jenna Leighton (Youth Minister) would be happy to speak with you. You may call or e-mail any of us.

Quo Vadis Camp for Young Women - July 19th-22nd, 2020

The first time many of our youth today are asked the question, "Where are you going?", is usually at their High School graduation, posed as an inquiry as to which college they plan to attend in the Fall.  How much better it would be if our Catholic youth were encouraged to ponder this fundamental question earlier! A Quo Vadis Camp experience for the young men and women will provide them with this opportunity to question where they are going and instruct them on how to listen to God's call to holiness. This cost is $150 per person (all meals included) This camp is designed to cultivate faith, virtue, friendship and plenty of fun!

Miriam Dinner - Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 (5-9pm)

A dinner event with Archbishop Hebda on Tuesday, October 1st,  for women, ages 16 – 35, who are discerning consecrated life.

Women’s Discernment Retreat - September 20th-22nd, 2019

We are pleased to announce that Fiat Ministries Discernment Retreat is coming to the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Single women age 18-28 who are seeking to do God's will are invited to attend the retreat on September 20 – 22, 2019 at Christ the King Retreat Center in Buffalo MN. Religious sisters from various religious orders assist at the retreat by giving talks, leading small groups, giving their testimonies, and providing a joyful witness of what it means to be a consecrated Religious Sister. In a world that lacks silence and reflection it can be easy for young ladies to worry and become anxious about their vocation. Fiat Ministries Discernment Retreat seeks to foster prayer, self-knowledge, and authentic discernment in young women to re-center their focus back on God and the universal call to holiness. This is a discernment retreat and not a vocation fair. The retreat is unique in that it simply helps young women open their hearts to say yes to Jesus in whatever He is calling them to. Fiat Ministries Discernment Retreat was founded in the Diocese of Wichita Kansas, and has served 250 young women through 8 retreats in the last 5 years. We are excited to bring it to the young women of Minnesota.

The cost of the retreat is $25 which includes meals, lodging and materials. Registration and more information can be found at www.fiatministries.org. Please register by September 16, 2019.
